The iQ-UNIFORMITY module enables gamma camera users to control the quality compliant to IEC 789, EN 60789 and NEMA NU 1-2001 regulations.

According to these standards, uniformity and yield have to be measured once per week. Additionally, daily checks of peak position and background radiation have to be performed.

Upon delivery of nuclear medical devices, the manufacturer therefore has to hand over the corresponding documentation to the customer which includes standard values for those parameters. These standard values serve as a point of reference for the user and the respective measurements. The user of the device should regularly check, if these standard values are met or do not exceed a certain tolerance limit.

Every six months, both the linearity and the resolution of the camera must be controlled.
