3D Web Developer

For more than 15 years the IMAGE group has been creating solutions for the field of radiological image processing and diagnostics in the heart of Rostock, Germany. We develop software for image viewing and diagnosis, picture archiving and communication systems (PACS) as well as radiology information systems (RIS), which we sell on a worldwide scale.

3D Webentwickler (w/m/d)

• develop a web-based medical image viewer from scratch and bring it to market maturity
• learn and accompany the entire software development process in the medical software environment
• work in an international team and apply coding best practices to ensure that the system runs robustly and user-friendly all over the world later on

• ideally experience with the toolkit VTK (vtk.js on client side and VTK with Python wrapper on server side)
• practical experience in web development (JavaScript/TypeScript), Python/C++
• experience with other toolkits (ITK, scikit-image, napari, Mayavi, ParaView, Matlab or OpenGL) can be useful
• mathematical understanding of three-dimensional space (algebra, vector calculus, matrices, etc.)
• Good command of English, both written and spoken

• a ten-person team with software tester and technical documenter
• Code versioning and code reviews with GitLab
• Build automation our planning and development processes prevent time pressure to release dates. No crunch time!
• the possibility to participate in other projects together with colleagues and to try out new technologies and techniques (e.g. agile or test driven)
