End of support

End of support for iQ-X – cross-upgrade to iQ-4VIEW

A few weeks ago, Microsoft has announced that the Internet Explorer 11 desktop application will go out of support and be retired on June 15, 2022, for certain versions of Windows 10.*

Since our iQ-X viewer runs on IE, it is our obligation as a medical device manufacturer to inform you about possible restrictions on the use and accessibility of iQ-X that might come along with the IE’s approaching end of life.

Depending on which Windows operating system is used to run iQ-X, there are different end-of-support deadlines to be observed over the next years. However, we want to encourage you to switch/to have your customers switch to the iQ-4VIEW diagnostic viewer as soon as possible to be prepared and not take any risks.

Therefore, we are offering a special cross-upgrade price on iQ-4VIEW, the successor of iQ-X, until December 31, 2021. If you/your customers choose to cross-upgrade to iQ-4VIEW, iQ-X can no longer be used and will be deactivated.

Customers, who do not wish to cross-upgrade from iQ-X to iQ-4VIEW, may continue to use iQ-X at their own risk, provided that Internet Explorer is still accessible after Microsoft's support ends. However, no liability will be assumed by IMAGE Information Systems or their resellers. The viewer must then only be used for clinical reference purposes but no longer for diagnostic purposes. IMAGE will then deliver iQ-X with a limited annual support package without further updates and upgrades. Enhanced Microsoft support may be required for diagnostic purposes and HIPAA compliance.

*IE 11 will fall out of support on June 15, 2022 for Windows 10 versions 20H2 and later, as well as for Windows 10 IoT versions 20H2 and later. For Windows 8.1 and Windows 7 ESU users, Windows end of support will occur on January 10, 2023.
