Cysticercosis project, Peru

The Peru Research Group has chosen iQ-WEB as their imaging platform for data exchange data between research groups, as well as the bi-directional transfer of skills between Peru and developed countries.

The Peru Tropical Medicine Research Center is running an infectious disease research program, studying three endemic parasitic diseases: cysticercosis, cystic hydatid disease and cyclosporiasis, all parasitoses to Peru.

Parasitic diseases are still a major cause of morbidity and mortality all over the world and Peru is uniquely suited for investigations of these because of the endemic occurrence in the area and the sophisticated infrastructure that can support top level studies.

The Peru Research Group has chosen iQ-WEB as their imaging platform to exchange data between research groups, which are built from veterinary, clinical, biochemical and epidemiological resources, as well as the bi-directional transfer of skills between Peru and developed countries as the USA and England.
