DICOMReader as PORTABLE MEDIA IMPORTER WITH MANUAL ADAPTATION OF PATIENT DEMOGRAPHICS
DICOMReader is the perfect solution for reading in any medical imaging data stored on CD, DVD, or USB media. It transfers patient studies directly to the respective viewing station or PACS via the network. If necessary, changes and adaptations can be made to the image data manually, for example, to adapt external studies to the local RIS-PACS numbering system (patient ID and accession number).

Of course, DICOMReader has a DICOM tracking option to view all adaptations made to the image data.

DICOMReader as AUTOMATIC ANONYMIZATION STATION
DICOMReader PRO is the ideal tool to anonymize the DICOM data found on portable media. Selected DICOM tags can be changed to standard or predefined values, e.g. in order to protect the patient’s privacy before sharing studies for second opinions.

DICOMReader PRO automatically deletes a customizable and unlimited number of DICOM tags for deep and consistent anonymization or pseudonymization. It also offers an option which allows to automatically replace DICOM tags with individual values. Additionally, DICOMReader PRO can reliably assign external studies to the local RIS/PACS numbering system (e.g. patient ID and accession number), or rather automatically match demographic data while reading (based on worklist or PACS query).

DICOMReader as COMPATIBILITY AND IMPORTING TOOL

Many imaging centers do not have a PACS, even though their modalities are digital. Later on, when they finally decide to implement a PACS, they often have to deal with compatibility issues when importing their medical imaging data to the newly acquired PACS, or they need to match the demographic data manually.

DICOMReader can solve these problems thanks to its functionality and high number of medical image formats that can be processed and sent to the PACS as DICOM files.
