Out now: iQ-VIEW 4.0 with boosted performance and efficiency
The next component of our newly MDR-certified iQ-SYSTEM PACS software is now available.
Following the recent release of iQ-ROUTER, we are excited to announce that another component of our newly MDR-certified iQ-SYSTEM PACS software is now available: iQ-VIEW 4.0. Discover the latest enhancements to our diagnostic viewing software below.
What’s new in iQ-VIEW 4.0?
SIGNIFICANT PERFORMANCE INCREASE:
- Speedy query/retrieve: Retrieve CT/MR studies from remote DICOM archives 2 - 3.5 times faster than before.
- Twice as fast local database searches: The new local SQLite database replaces the file-based system, improving data management and enabling new features like additional columns in the study browser.
- Advanced 64-bit architecture: Process and display large studies of virtually unlimited size and images even up to 500 megapixel resolution.
- Expanded image cache: Three times larger cache enhances image processing of large studies, such as real-time image magnification.
- Stable handling of large studies: Support for modern 64-bit email clients (e.g. Outlook, Microsoft 365) ensures reliable processing of very large studies.
AMAZING NEW FEATURES:
- Display of multiphase studies: Automatically split MR phases stored in multiphase objects and easily switch and compare phases. Create time intensity curves for selected phases (PRO version only).
- Improved structured reporting: Optimized report dialog supports different workflows. Choose between traditional or fast-track report approval methods, with essential patient and study information prominently displayed.
- Enhanced quality control and multisite management: New columns in the study browser show the institution names and number of files for better data management and quality control.
- Non-DICOM image export: Export non-DICOM images in full DICOM resolution without needing to zoom into specific areas.
- Consistent secondary viewer button functionality across network, database and filesystem tab, e.g. for mammography, simplified study retrieval, and automatic GDT call invocation make the work with iQ-VIEW even more efficient.
BETTER INTEGRATION:
- New command line parameters: Now supports patient ID, study instance UID and accession number for opening studies via command line call without GDT.
CYBER SECURITY AND COMPLIANCE:
- GDPR-compliant logging: Revised logging process ensures only patient ID, accession number, modality and body part are logged.
- MDR compliance: iQ-VIEW, along with iQ-ROUTER, complies as a component of iQ-SYSTEM PACS with the Medical Device Regulation (EU) 2017/745, ensuring high-quality standards and continued software distribution and development.
DOWNLOAD AND UPGRADE INFORMATION:
- iQ-VIEW 4.0 (brochure): Available for download from our Download Center.
- Free upgrade: iQ-VIEW users with a valid annual service package (ASP) can upgrade to the new version at no cost.
IMPORTANT NOTES FOR INSTALLATION:
- Downloading iQ-VIEW 4.0 may require a new license activation if you want to update from version 3.1.9 or lower! Read the instructions given in the iQ-VIEW 4.0 update guide carefully, before updating your existing iQ-VIEW installations.
- When installing iQ-VIEW 4.0, iQ-3D is no longer part of the installation package. Additionally a new license needs to be requested. Please follow the separate iQ-3D instructions:
1. Download the iQ-3D 64-bit version zip file.
2. Extract it to a separate folder in the iQ-VIEW installation folder.
3. Name the folder "3D".
The viewer will be automatically detected and ready to use. - iQ-CAPTURE is currently not supported by this version.
- When installing iQ-VIEW 4.0, your customers may experience connectivity issues with their existing Radiology Information System (RIS). This is because iQ-VIEW now runs as a 64-bit application and is therefore installed on a different path.
UPCOMING WEBINAR:
- If you would like to explore the new features of iQ-VIEW, join us for our upcoming webinar taking place on September 4, 2024. Invitations will be sent out by the end of August.
