How to save time when providing images for second opinion?

When reading physicians would like a colleague’s second opinion before finalizing their report on diagnostic findings but this colleague is not available on site, it can easily become complicated and time-consuming to share the respective images. All the while, the patients and their treating physicians are waiting for the results.

Using the WADO functionality of iQ-WEB, the reading physician can speed up this process considerably. With just two mouse-clicks the images are on their way. And this is how it goes:

  1. Select the study, for which the WADO link is needed, on the EasyWEB page and click the “WADO Link” button in the button bar above the study list.
  2. This click creates a link to this study on the server and opens the WADO link page, on which you can decide what to do with the link. You can copy it to the clipboard, from where you can insert it into another communication system, e.g. WhatsApp. Or you can directly e-mail the link, using the integrated webmail service.
  3. To e-mail the WADO link, click the “Send via email” button to create the actual e-mail. A default text can be pre-configured, but you can adapt it to your needs.
  4. The recipient of the message can now use the link to access the shared images from any browser.
